Information We Collect

When you browse our rental listings, submit an inquiry, or apply for a property, we may collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, and details related to your rental application (e.g., employment information, income, rental history).

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to facilitate communication between prospective tenants and property owners, process rental applications, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Data Sharing

Your inquiry and application information is shared only with the property owner of the listing you are applying to. We may also share information with service providers who help us operate our platform (e.g., hosting, email delivery), who are bound by their own data-protection terms.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls.

Who else can see your application

Your application is visible to the landlord you applied to. Doughy's own support staff can also see it in limited situations — when that landlord asks us for help with a technical problem, or when we are investigating a security issue. Those sessions are read-only, they end automatically after 30 minutes, and we record who opened each one and why. We use what we see only to fix the problem, and we never use your information to make decisions about you.

Cookies and Analytics

We can measure page traffic with Google Analytics, which stores cookies in your browser to recognise a returning visit. It is not loaded unless you tell us it may be: a notice at the foot of the window asks the first time you visit, and until you answer — and permanently if you answer no — nothing from Google is requested, run, or stored, and no analytics cookie exists. Refusing takes one press, in a button the same size as the one that accepts. You can change your answer at any time from “Cookie settings” at the foot of any page; switching it off stops collection immediately and deletes those cookies. We do not enable Google's advertising features, and no choice available here turns them on.

Your answer is kept in your browser's own storage and never leaves your device. Alongside it we keep your light/dark display preference and, if a site notice is showing, whether you have dismissed it. Signing in sets cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you authenticated. None of these are used for advertising or cross-site tracking, and clearing your browser's storage removes all of them.
